Kristin Fisher joined CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin has a background in the field of space as the grandchild and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she has been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations on FOX News. In addition to covering two presidential impeachment cases and the presidential campaign for 2020, and the two administrations' attempts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other subjects. She also was on numerous trips with president and vice president and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin used her experience in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films. It was also a favourite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
